Good Job! But couldn't you have released him somewhere away from steps? At one point I was sure he was stuck for sure - but it was good for a laugh! I'll keep your hints for removing a snapping turtle from a window well on file for future reference.

Maybe it would have been easier to put him in a box and walk him to the lake. Although the walk may have been good for him as he will know how to get back to your window well next time. :)

Dang, you did that the hard way. Next time jus jump in the hole and start rasslin' - it's even more fun than dumping a barrel of red squirrels in your hot tub.
