Project Phoenix — eBirdseed.com purchases benefit the victims of the
October 2007 California wildfires
It is safe to say that all Americans have been horrified and overwhelmed
by the images of the fires in Southern California. Simple numbers speak
volumes... As of 1 AM, October 24th, 2007:
- 2 are dead
- 44 are hurt
- 1,800 homes and businesses are gone
- 16 separate fires rage out of control
- 350,000 (600 sq. miles) acres have burned
- 300,000 to half a million people evacuated

Dan and I wanted to do something to help with the relief efforts so
we are donating 15% of all eBirdseed.com purchases to the American
Red Cross for the next 30 days (until Thanksgiving, November 22nd,
2007).
It is as simple as this... during checkout, simply enter code PROJECTPHOENIX in the Donation Code box. (all capitals, no spaces) This
will 'flag' the order so we can determine the amount of the total donation.
You are welcome to share this code with whomever you like. Please tell
all of your friends and family as we would like to contribute as much
as possible.
(And even if you don’t need birdseed, simply go to www.redcross.org and
make a donation directly...)
With this effort, your bird-feeding hobby and thoughtful kindness can benefit
those affected by these terrible fires.
