Hi,

Welcome to the latest mish mash, an update on recent events. Nothing terribly new here, so I’ll just touch on some of the routine mish mash and goings on…

  • Nice pic aye? Too bad it’s an old one. That shot depicts what has become a daily (if not quasi-hourly) ritual — the feeding of the crows. They like to eat at sunrise, at about 11AM, 1PM, and just before sunset. Well “la tee da“… And they also prefer “haw dawgs”. I repeat, well”la tee da“… They get what we give them when we give it. Stupid birds… (Though truth be told, they do a good job of fending off predators that would normally eat our “normal” birds, so they do earn their keep.) Now I just have to figure out a way to feed the corvids without stuffing the seagulls… It’s just another day in paradise… What other mish mash is happening?
  • We had 30+ turkeys in the yard the other day… I don’t even want to think of the mess… Onward…
  • Beer brewing starts anew… I’ll have to keep you updated on this one. If nothing else, the video link in the blog entry above suggests that this should be (yet again) an exciting hobby. I’m looking forward to:
    • Using “Star Sn” sanitizer instead of the diluted bleach blend I used way back when, in hopes of a more thorough and faster concoction process…
    • Harking back to my ancient fave, a red ale… If only I kept that recipe!
    • Getting the entire process rolling again so that I can have real beer at my beck and call whenever. (¿und ǝɥʇ ʇǝפ)
    • Combining new brew with new bread and chowder formulae… You never know… I’ll keep you posted as work progresses…

I guess that’s all the mish mash for now…

Busy by the feeders,
